Dewey McCoy, scheduled for heart bypass surgery at Baptist East Hospital tomorrow, October 30th; requests prayers for a successful surgery and minimal pain.
Veronica Veltman, requests prayers as she recently experienced several dizzy spells due to vertigo which caused her to fall and hit her head against the wall causing injury to her neck and a fracture above her ankle on the right side; orthopedic doctor did more X-rays and said she does not need surgery nor a cast; received a better boot that is more comfortable and will support the area that is fractured better; scheduled for follow up visit on December 10th; currently not able to drive; requests prayers for healing of her ankle and fewer spells of vertigo.
Martha Benafield, aunt of Veronica Veltman, dealing with a rare mutation cell in her bone marrow that produces too many red/white blood cells and too many platelets; currently going to West Clinic every 2 weeks to get her blood levels checked and receive treatment which keeps her fatigued; next treatment is scheduled for Thursday, October 30th; requests prayers for less fatigue and complete healing.

Lane Benafield, grandson of Veronica Veltman’s aunt, is now out of the hospital following surgery to remove right kidney, a mass in his abdomen, and lymph nodes last Tuesday and is currently staying at Tri Delta Place; doctors may want to do another scan and check his numbers before they let him go as there is a small area in his groin that they could not get during the surgery, so they are talking about possible radiation; please continue prayers for minimal pain and a quick and complete recovery.
Leslie Whiteside, thankful to God for the rain, food, clothes, family and friends; most of all thankful for her salvation; requests prayers that the Lord soften the hearts of three young men so they will repent and return to the Lord; is also scheduled for a total knee replacement on Monday, November 3rd, and requests prayers for her surgeon, Dr. Crockarell, that his hands are guided by the Lord, that there is no infection, and that all goes well.
