HOSPITALS:  

ST. FRANCIS HOSPITAL, 5959 Park Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119 - 901-765-1000
Nikki Reed, Room 442, daughter of Darwin Campbell, visitor of SV, recovering from 6-hour open heart surgery performed Tuesday, April 14th, for aorta mitral valve replacements; will be in hospital for 5-7 days and then rehab; requests prayers for complete healing.


PRAISE THE LORD:  

Hannah Kidwell was baptized into Christ on Sunday, April 26th, at Sycamore View Church. Hannah is the wife of Tyler Kidwell and the daughter of Lynn Moore.

Hazel Wells was baptized into Christ on Sunday, April 26th, at Sycamore View Church. Hazel is the daughter of Deven and Brittney Wells and the granddaughter of Keven and Donna Wells.

SYMPATHY IS EXTENDED TO:  

Denita and Don Deaton, in the death of Don’s mother, Janette Deaton, on Wednesday, April 15th. Funeral services were Sunday, April 26th, at First Baptist Church in Somerville, TN.

Dan and Pam Butler, in the death of Dan’s brother, Paul Butler, on Monday, April 13th; Paul lived in Indiana and was also a former member of SV; requests prayers of comfort and peace for Paul’s wife, Paula, and for Dan and all the family members; there are no funeral arrangements at this time.


SHOWER SCHEDULED FOR: 


PRAYERS REQUESTED:  

Miyah Clark, daughter of Denita Deaton, requests continued prayers for guidance, patience, and peace for both Miyah and Denita as the plea resolution yesterday, April 27th, did not go as they had hoped for; her next court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday, May 26th.

Russ Nixon, currently experiencing severe neck pain and was taken to ER on Sunday, April 26th; doctors think it may be muscular issues as CT scan did not indicate anything, therefore has been prescribed muscle relaxers and will follow up with his primary doctor if he is not better in a few days; continues to also recover from surgery performed on both eyes on Wednesday, April 15th; requests prayers for relief for Russ’ pain and continued healing of his eyes.

Leslie Whiteside, prayers of thanksgiving for Jesus, her salvation, and for the Holy Spirit who helps and comforts her; also thankful for the Bible and the way it speaks to us and for SVC; thankful for the avenue of prayer and for all the prayers that she has received during these last six months; requests prayers as she continues to struggle with her son’s lack of faith, as well as two friends’ sons, and requests prayers that the Holy Spirit will help them to come back to the Lord soon; also prayers for our city, for our country to become a God fearing nation, and for the world to have peace and love for each other.

Bobby Nations, the corrective procedure to replace the stent for his brain aneurysm that he received last September is scheduled for Wednesday, May 13th; prayers are requested for a successful procedure with no additional loss of function and continued healing so that he can be a father and hold his baby daughter, Claire Bonnie, which is due in June. 

Elaine Nixon, mother of Russ Nixon, experiencing declining health and was determined that she did have a stroke and a fractured back as well as congestive heart failure; lives in Colorado and is now in a skilled nursing facility where Russ' brothers, Tim and Glenn, are able to care for her; prayers of thankfulness that she is still able to talk and recognize her family; requests prayers for her comfort and improved health, for Tim and Glenn as they care for her, and that Russ and Liana are able to travel to see her soon.  

Liana Nixon, has a hairline fracture on her small toe; requests prayers for fast healing so she and Russ are able to travel to Colorado to be with Russ’ mother. 

Randy Fowler, now at home continuing to recover from surgery last Monday, April 13th, at Baptist Hospital as he deals with a recurrence of an abscess that contributes to an infection of his peritoneal cavity where his dialysis is performed; requests continued prayers for quick and complete recovery.

Phil Galbreath, nephew of Virginia Simmons, has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and has gone through various treatments; tests show that no cancer is outside the pancreas so he is now waiting to be scheduled for surgery; requests prayers that his surgery will be soon and it will result in complete healing.
