Bobby Bluford, Room 907 Shorb Tower, recovering from a successful hip replacement surgery on Monday, July 28th, for a fractured femur as a result of a fall while in Panama; requests prayers for minimal pain, strength, and a complete recovery.

Lane Benafield, 16-year-old grandson of Veronica Veltman’s aunt, has been diagnosed with stage 4 rhabdomyosarcoma and began treatment yesterday which will continue once a week for over a year, with a mix of radiation with chemo; will probably remain at St. Jude for a couple of weeks while they treat him, and once his pain is under control, he may be able to do outpatient treatment and at some point may need to have surgery; has currently been in a lot of pain; requests prayers for Lane for a reduction in pain along with strength, comfort, patience, and a complete healing; prayers are also requested for his parents, Stephen and Fallon, and the entire family.

Andrea Johnson, Room 202B, doing well with her speech and movement as she continues to recover from a stroke which has affected her speech and caused limited movement on the left side of her body; needs to be able to do some more sustained walking and standing before she is released; she is able to have visitors Monday-Friday - 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, and on Saturday-Sunday - 8:00 am - 8:00 pm; requests continued prayers for comfort, strength, and complete healing.

Reid Walker, 18-month-old son of Phillip Walker Jr. and the grandson of Phillip and Vicki Walker, all former members of SV; has been diagnosed with a rare immune deficiency called Chronic Granulomatous disease; was admitted to hospital on Sunday, July 13th, has been undergoing a chemo treatment for 7-10 days and had a bone marrow transplant on July 23rd; requests prayers for strength, patience, and comfort for Reid and his family, and a complete healing for Reid.
METHODIST HOSPICE CENTER, 6416 Quince Road, Memphis, TN 38119 - 901-818-2100
Mark Hicks, brother-in-law of Kevin South, Room 11, diagnosed with pancreatic cancer which has metastasized to his liver and bones; currently have stopped all treatment; his son that was previously deployed is now home for 30 days; requests prayers for peace and strength for him and his wife, Kristi, during this time.

Crosby Moore was baptized into Christ at Sycamore View Church on Sunday, July 27th. Crosby is the son of Grant and Laura Moore.
Louisa Jones was baptized into Christ at Sycamore View Church on Sunday, July 20th.
Isaac Chapman was baptized into Christ at Sycamore View Church on Sunday, July 20th. Isaac is the son of Marty and Kristin Chapman and the grandson of Jeff and Cathy Cozzens.

Philip and Aaron Hines and Kathy Hines in the death of their father and former husband, Hugh Hines. Visitation is scheduled for 1:00 pm on Thursday, July 31st, at Forest Hill East, 2440 Kirby Whitten Road, Memphis, TN 38133, and the funeral service will immediately follow beginning at 2:00 pm at the same location.
Dan and Carissa Burdette and Family in the death of Dan’s mother, Sue Burdette, on Thursday, July 24th. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.
Carole Warbritton and Family in the death of her husband, George Warbritton, Thursday, July 17th. There was a “Good-bye Time” on Friday, July 25th, at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Avenue, Memphis, TN 38122.
Lori Shores and Family, in the death of her maternal grandmother, Bonnie Overstreet, on Saturday, July 19th, in Nashville; requests continued prayers for peace and comfort for the family at this time. Funeral services were Saturday, July 26th, at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road, Nashville, TN 37211.
Beth Nuthak and Family and Corban Scott and Family in the death of their father and grandfather, Steve Scott, on Tuesday, July 15th. Steve was also a former member of Sycamore View Church. Funeral services were Saturday, July 19th, at Campbell St. Church of Christ, 1490 Campbell Street, Jackson, MS 38305.

A Baby Shower is scheduled for Hayley Wood on Sunday, August 10th, from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at Sycamore View Church. Hayley is registered at Babylist.
PRAYERS REQUESTED:
Leslie Whiteside, prayers of thankfulness for Jesus and for her family, friends, and neighbors, both at her apartment complex and at SV; also earnestly pleads that God will allow her son’s heart, as well as the hearts of her friends’ children, to return to the Heavenly Father.
Alex Pikos, online guest, requests prayers for protection, divine guidance, peace, joy, love, hope and blessings and for the Father in Heaven to cover him with the Holy Blood of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit; also requests prayers over his apartment and his continued safety and protection.
Rick Kendall, friend and neighbor of Doug and Donna Davenport, requests prayers as he begins a major medical procedure and treatment that was originally scheduled for July 25th, but is now scheduled to begin on Wednesday, August 6th; requests prayers for peace, strength, and complete healing.
Jessica Laitinen, received an official diagnosis of Lumbar Nerve Root Disorder for the pain that has been affecting her; had a consultation with her doctor last week regarding her medications and has an appointment with Spectrum Pain Clinic today, July 30th; still waiting for the referral for the neurosurgeon; requests prayers for encouragement and a clear care plan that can actually resolve the issue and enable her pain to be resolved which has affected both her personal and work life.
Bobby Nations, continuing to deal with some movement issues on his right side as he recovers from a stroke on Saturday, June 21st; doctors also found a small aneurysm in his head which will be treated separately after recovery from the stroke; requests continued prayers for peace, strength, and a complete recovery.
Jamie Sowell met with radiation oncologist to discuss next steps in her cancer treatment; requests prayers for herself and her family as they prepare and undergo this stage as a family.
Roderick Washington, 55-year-old son of Dell Washington, requests prayers for complete healing as he recovers from 4 gun shot wounds in his leg on Saturday, July 5th, while in the front yard of a friend's house in Jackson, MS; had a rod put in his leg and is now at home; his friend was also grazed in the back with a bullet, but also survived.
Gerald Johnson, scheduled for a procedure on August 25th at Baptist East Hospital to have a shunt put in his brain; requests prayers for a successful upcoming surgery.
John Johnson, brother of Kim Chapman, is now at home following a diagnosis of kidney issues at the VA Hospital; is scheduled to return to hospital on September 15th to prepare for dialysis; requests continued prayers for peace, strength, comfort, and complete healing.
