Joe Blalock, Sr., Room 420, Bed 1, father of Joe Blalock, has returned to hospital care for sepsis; requests prayers for strength and a complete recovery.

Jason and Kelis (Potts) Howard as they were married on Friday, April 25th, at Sycamore View Church.

P.J and Grace (Karanja) Sanon as they were married on Sunday morning, April 27th, at Sycamore View Church. P.J. is the son of Julie Sanon and the brother of Leah Burns.

SYMPATHY IS EXTENDED TO:  

Katie Sarno and Family in the death of her husband, Sam Sarno, on Sunday, April 20th, after a lengthy illness with leukemia. Visitation is scheduled for today, April 30th, from 5:00-7:00 pm at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133; the Funeral Mass is scheduled for tomorrow, May 1st, from 10:00-11:00 am at The Chapel of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 8151 Poplar Avenue, Germantown, TN 38138, and graveside will follow from 11:30am - 12:00pm at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133.

Staff and Teachers of Shelby Oaks Elementary School in the recent death of Maryluz Parraga who was the Bilingual Administrative Assistant at Shelby Oaks. There will be a service commemorating her life and legacy from 4:00-6:00 pm on Friday, May 2nd, at the R.S. Lewis & Sons Funeral Home, 3651 Austin Peay Highway, Memphis, TN 38128.

Lynn Moore, Hannah, Tyler & Leo Kidwell, and Family in the death of their wife, mother, and grandmother, Becky Moore, yesterday morning, April 29th, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. The visitation is scheduled for 1:00 - 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 3rd, at Sycamore View Church, 1910 Sycamore View Road, Memphis, TN, and a Celebration of Life will immediately follow beginning at 2:00 pm at the same location.

Kayci and Josh Ross and Family in the passing of Kayci’s grandfather, Billy Burr, on Monday, April 28th. Funeral services will be Monday, May 5th, in Amarillo, TX.

Leslie Irwin and Family in the death of her sister and Sycamore View member, Vicki Noble, on Tuesday, April 22nd, due to a cardiac arrest. The family has informed us that there will be no funeral services.

All the many friends and loved ones of Richard Barella, in his passing on Tuesday, April 15th, following multiple health issues. Funeral services were Monday, April 21st, at Sycamore View Church.

SHOWER SCHEDULED FOR:  

P.J. and Grace Sanon on Sunday, May 18th, from 1:00 - 3:00 pm at Sycamore View Church. P. J. and Grace were married on Sunday, April 27th.

PRAYERS REQUESTED:  

Martha Benafield, aunt of Veronica Veltman, will be 84 in June and has started showing signs of dementia, has a high red blood cell count, and platelets are high; also dealing with Stage 3 kidney disease and keeps losing weight; currently waiting to get in to see a hematologist to check her blood; requests prayers for strength, improved health, and healing.

Jerry Buxton, now at home following hospital stay while dealing with COPD, but is still not back to normal; requests continued prayers for strength, healing, and a complete recovery.

George Thornton, father of Joy Williams, prayers of thanksgiving as he has been discharged from rehab facility and is now at home continuing to recover from open heart surgery on Thursday, April 17th.

Jeff Cozzens, is now at home recovering from back surgery on Thursday, April 17th; will need to stay close to the house for about 6 weeks; requests prayers for a quick and complete healing.

Miyah Clark, daughter of Denita Deaton, court date has been rescheduled for Wednesday, June 25th; requests continued prayers for patience, guidance, and peace for both Miyah and Denita.

Leslie Whiteside, thankful for the fabulous week with her family and SVC community; requests continued prayers for her son and his children and a good friend’s son and his children; also expresses her love for God and thankful for Jesus and for her salvation.

Jamie Sowell, has received her sixth and final chemo treatment; will be moving forward with a surgery plan within 6-8 weeks and potential for radiation afterward depending on the outcome of surgery; requests continued prayers for strength, peace, complete healing, and recovery.

Jessica Laitinen, has finally received her imaging which has been sent off to her surgeon in Atlanta; has been told she should have a surgery date sometime over the next few weeks which will be in Atlanta; requests prayers for pain management while awaiting surgery and that surgery will be scheduled soon so she can get on the other side of all this.

Alice Tapper, mother of Paula Spears, dealing with inflammation in her right eye and very limited vision which has not improved; currently waiting for lab results from last week to determine cause of inflammation and to determine if surgery is needed; fortunately, her left eye is not affected.

Sherry Efird, friend of Paula Spears, continuing to recover from pneumonia; health is improving and now doing 10 weeks of rehab; lives in Little Rock, AR; requests continued prayers for strength, patience, and complete healing.
